Charles Dowd is a Philip H. Knight professor of music and a faculty performing artist at the UO School of Music. He plays timpani, large multiple percussion works, solo marimba, all the orchestral percussion instruments, vibraphone, drum-set, and the Brazilian and Afro/Cuban instruments. He is a conductor and music director of avant-garde percussion works.

Raymond J. Dowd is an alumnus of Fordham Law School, Class of '91. His legal career has taken him to France, Italy, and finally New York City, where he began his own practice in 1994. He is now a partner in Dowd & Marotta LLC.

Pamela Dowd and her husband, Rodney, make their home in east Texas. They have three daughters and one son-in-law.

When she’s writing, Pam enjoys creating strong stories with characters who display candid, growing relationships with God.

Research Interests
From 1984-1990, John was an Assistant Professor in the School of Forest Resources at UGA. After a year at the University of Plymouth (southwest England), he moved to this department. He has maintained links with the School of Forest Resources, co-teaching several joint-listed courses with Todd Rasmussen.

O'DOWD, BERNARD PATRICK (1866-1953), poet, radical and parliamentary draughtsman, was born on 11 April 1866 at Beaufort, Victoria, son of Bernard Dowd, constable, and his wife Ann Dowell, née Mulholland. Both parents were Catholic migrants from Ulster, preoccupied with Irish legend and Celtic ancestry.

Bernard J. Dowd was born in Buffalo 's First Ward on December 5, 1891. At two years of age the family moved to the Black Rock section of the city.

Dowd graduated from School 51 in 1907, and for one year attended Technical High School At this time he had to quit school to help his family's financial circumstances.
