E. Thomas Dowd, Ph.D. Professor. Department of Psychology, Kent State University. Education : Ph.D., University of Minnesota Research Interests : I am interested in the application of cognitive-behavioral/developmental therapy to a wide variety of psychological disorders with adults. I am interested in hypnosis and hypnotherapy and its integration into CBT. I have an ongoing investigation into the effect of individual differences in psychological reactance on the therapy process. I am currently investigating memory processes and tacit knowledge structures (including tacit cultural assumptions) in psychological functioning and malfunctioning.
